High Plains Raceway (HPR) is located approximately 60 miles east of downtown Denver, CO.  With rolling terrain and open spaces, HPR is technical, challenging and very safe.  HPR is the only facility in the country which was conceived, financed, designed and built by a collection of amateur road racing clubs and their members  -- including Rocky Mountain Region PCA.  Thus all profits are reinvested in the track!

Track Details:

  • 2.55 miles in length (full course configuration)

  • 2838' back straight (parallel to US36, between turns 3 and 4)

  • Tightest turn - 80' radius

  • Technical fun - blind entry and blind exit turns

  • 300+ feet of cumulative elevation change per lap

  • Steepest climb - 10% grade

Track Address and Directions:

  • 93301 East US Highway 36, Deer Trail, CO 80105

  • Take I-70 to exit 316 (Byers, CO) east of Denver

  • If you are coming from Denver turn left at the bottom of the off-ramp, if you are coming from Kansas turn right at the bottom of the off-ramp

  • Travel approximately 18 miles to mile marker 120, you will see the track on the left

RV and Carport Facilities:

  • A limited number of carports are available for rent from the track.  Each carport includes adjacent RV or tow rig parking.

  • RV parking with AC power are available for rent from the track.  Water and sewer hookups are not available.

  • On-site showers are available across from the classroom.
